On the Laplacian model for particle-based simulation using Moving-Particle Semi-implicit (Mps) Method

open access: closedSPIE Proceedings, 2013
A general form of Laplacian model is derived for the numerical framework of Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method. The existing proposals of MPS Laplacian model available in the open literature can indeed be reproduced from this general Laplacian model.

3D simulation of eutectic interaction of Pb–Sn system using Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method

open access: closedAnnals of Nuclear Energy, 2015
Abstract The eutectic reaction phenomenon was analyzed based on the Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method. The improved MPS code was applied to three-dimensional Pb–Sn system experiments conducted at Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI). The experiments dealt with solid–solid contact materials at 225 and 205 °C.

Validation Study of MPS (Moving Particle Semi-Implicit Method) for Sloshing and Damage Stability Analysis

open access: closedVolume 6: Nick Newman Symposium on Marine Hydrodynamics; Yoshida and Maeda Special Symposium on Ocean Space Utilization; Special Symposium on Offshore Renewable Energy, 2008
The aim of this paper is to present validation studies of a CFD code based on MPS (Moving Particle Semi-implicit Method). In MPS method the fluid is represented by particles, and the particle interactions are governed by continuity and Navier-Stokes equations.

A domain decomposition strategy for hybrid parallelization of moving particle semi-implicit (MPS) method for computer cluster

open access: closedCluster Computing, 2015
The MPS is a particle method developed to simulate incompressible flows with free surfaces that has several applications in nonlinear hydrodynamics. Much effort has been done to handle the large amount of particles required for simulating practical problems with desired refinement.

Optimization of Moving Particle Semi-Implicit (MPS) Method and Studying of Flow Instability

open access: closedVolume 8: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD); Nuclear Education and Public Acceptance, 2018
Multiphase flow widely exists in the nature and engineering. The two-phase flow is the highlight of the studies about the flow in the vessel and steam explosion in nuclear severe accidents. The Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method is a fully-Lagrangian particle method without grid mesh which focuses on tracking the single particle and concerns ...
