Voronoi diagrams of moving points in the plane
1992Consider a set of n points in the Euclidean plane each of which is continuously moving along a given trajectory. At each instant in time, the points define a Voronoi diagram. As the points move, the Voronoi diagram changes continuously, but at certain critical instants in time, topological events occur that cause a change in the Delaunay diagram.

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1958Abstract A study is made of stresses and displacements induced in an elastic half plane (plane strain) by a concentrated line load moving at a constant speed along its surface. The stress field for an arbitrary load distribution can be built up by superposition of these concentrated-load solutions.
