Aggregation and the Structure of Value

open access: yesNoûs, Volume 60, Issue 3, Page 619-644, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Roughly, the view I call “Additivism” sums up value across time and people. Given some standard assumptions, I show that Additivism follows from two principles. The first says that how lives align in time cannot, in itself, matter. The second says, roughly, that a world cannot be better unless it is better within some period or another.

Alla scoperta della storia nella musica d’arte: esperienze di analisi percettiva

open access: yesMusica Docta
In ambito musicale, la trasmissione del sapere deve confrontarsi, soprattutto in Italia, con una diffusa mancanza di preparazione di base anche in contesti formativi di fascia elevata.

Evaluating simplified chemical mechanisms within present-day simulations of the Community Earth System Model version 1.2 with CAM4 (CESM1.2 CAM-chem): MOZART-4 vs. Reduced Hydrocarbon vs. Super-Fast chemistry [PDF]

open access: yesGeoscientific Model Development, 2018
While state-of-the-art complex chemical mechanisms expand our understanding of atmospheric chemistry, their sheer size and computational requirements often limit simulations to short lengths or ensembles to only a few members.

Weak Tropical Tropospheric OH Response to Idealized ENSO

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 16, 28 August 2026.
Abstract The hydroxyl radical (OH) is a key oxidant for methane. Previous studies suggest that OH exhibits interannual variability linked to the El Nino–Southern Oscillation (ENSO), but the sign, magnitude, and underlying mechanisms of this response remain uncertain.

Music in the Thought of Deconstruction / Deconstruction in the Thought of Music (For Joseph Dubiel)

open access: yesMuzikološki Zbornik, 2005
This article critically speculates on points of affinity and difference between, on the one hand, musicological writings and the musical practices they attempt to represent and, on the other, the operation of deconstruction (defined in terms of the ...

Effect of salt stress on growth, Na+ accumulation and proline metabolism in potato (Solanum tuberosum) cultivars. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Potato (Solanum tuberosum) is a major crop world-wide and the productivity of currently used cultivars is strongly reduced at high soil salt levels. We compared the response of six potato cultivars to increased root NaCl concentrations.

Overview of Aerosols in the E3SM Version 3: New Model Features and Their Impacts

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 18, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Accurate and comprehensive representation of aerosols in Earth system models (ESMs) is critical for modeling radiative forcing and seasonal‐to‐decadal variability. With increasing computing power, detailed physical and chemical processes representing aerosols and their interactions with other components of the Earth system can be treated more ...

The Facial approximation of the controversial skull attributed to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791)

open access: yesAnthropological Review
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) is considered as one of the greatest composers of the Classical Period of music (ca. 1750–1820). Gifted with an unparalleled precocity, which allowed him to play and compose at the highest levels from a very young age,

Air Quality Forecasts With Observation‐Based Scaling of Anthropogenic Emissions for Urban Agglomerations

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Air quality forecasts are essential to support decision‐making in urban agglomerations, where millions of people are exposed to high levels of pollution. However, these forecasts are often limited by uncertainties in anthropogenic emissions, especially in large urban agglomerations where no dedicated operational system exists.

Does Listening to Mozart benefit Children with Severe Epilepsy?

open access: yesPediatric Neurology Briefs, 2015
Investigators from the Universities of Salerno and Perugio, Italy, studied the effect of listening to a set of Mozart's compositions on sleep quality, behavior, and seizure recurrence in 11 outpatients (7 males and 4 females), between 1.5 and 21 years of
