Abstract Background Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNSTs) account for 3–10% of pediatric sarcomas, 50% of which occur in neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Sporadic MPNSTs diagnosis may be challenging due to the absence of specific markers, apart from immunohistochemical H3K27me3 loss.
