We compared the findings in the wasting syndrome seen in [MRL lpr/lpr--> MRL +/+] chimeras with those of chronic graft versus host disease (GVHD) in [B10.D2-->BALB/c] chimeras. BALB/c mice were lethally irradiated and administered B10.D2 spleen and bone marrow cells. These mice are identical to MHC and Mls but differ as to genetic background.

CD95 and the MRL-lpr Mouse Model
2017CD95 (Fas-ligand) is a key mediator of cell death in multiple setting, thus its loss within the MRL-lpr (Faslpr) homozygote mice results in spontaneous autoimmunity. This is characterized by the development of arthritis and immune complex glomerulonephrosis making this strain a useful model for studying systemic lupus erythematosus.

The Economics of International Harmonization of MRLs
2017The economics of asynchronous regulations internationally is modeled. The model is used to show the economic costs associated with the persistence of regulatory divergence. Given the economic and food security benefits from international regulatory harmonization, factors that enter into decision-making that are not captured in economic assessments are ...
