特高压直流换流站内的避雷器为了满足能量吸收需求,通常采用多柱并联的结构。但是多柱并联避雷器由于电流及吸收能量不均匀的问题容易发生局部故障,导致系统闭锁。为了明确故障机理,本研究分析了直流换流站内容易发生局部故障的金属回线转换开关(MRTB)避雷器以及中性母线金属回线(EM)避雷器的运行工况及结构特点,研究了不平衡故障的发生过程、故障现象以及解体检查结果,从氧化锌压敏电阻微观结构到避雷器组并联特性总结了局部故障发生的原因、机理,并提出了对应的故障应对措施。

在多柱并联避雷器组中采用内熔丝串联的结构可以在发生局部故障时快速隔离故障柱,防止系统闭锁。本研究以直流换流站MRTB避雷器组为例,提出熔断型多柱并联避雷器组设计方法。首先根据避雷器参数选取电阻片并确定避雷器组结构,然后根据安秒特性配合要求设计并制造熔丝,最后在实验室中搭建大功率试验平台,通过电流耐受试验以及熔断隔离试验以验证熔丝的可靠性。试验结果表明,所设计的内熔丝串联压敏电阻单元可靠耐受近似于实际工况的操作冲击电流,在熔断试验中发生单柱局部故障时熔丝熔断时间为1.2 ms。
