High-Temperature Stability of YSZ/Msz Membrane in Molten Salts
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2019The SOM process is a direct electrolytic process using an ion conductive solid oxide membrane. It is a next-generation innovative metal direct electroreduction process technology that can reduce the production cost of rare metal smelting and recycling by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and manufacturing high purity metals.

Field-induced uniaxial and biaxial nematic phases in the Maier–Saupe–Zwanzig (MSZ) lattice model
Liquid Crystals, 2017We report detailed statistical mechanics calculations to analyse the field-temperature phase diagram of a fully connected Maier-Saupe-Zwanzig (MSZ) lattice model for the nematic transitions in liquid-crystalline systems. If the field is applied along the uniaxial direction, with positive anisotropy, there is a first-order boundary between distinct ...

The Enrichment Mechanism of PGE and Characteristic of MSZ in HW Mining Area in Great Dyke Zimbabwe
Advanced Materials Research, 2012Zimbabwe Great Dyke is a mafic-ultramafic lithosome intruded the Zimbabwe Craton. MSZ(Main Sulfide Zone) is the most important layer which contains substantial amount of PGE(Platinum Group Elements). PGE are concentrated in bottom of MSZ layer because of the intimate relationship between the content of Cu&Ni and enrichment of PGE.

Nanocrystalline magnesia-stabilized zirconia powders have been synthesized using Pechini method and Taguchi experiment design. In the present research work, Taguchi method was applied to investigate the effect of citric acid to ethylene glycol mole ratio (CA/EG), citric acid to transition metal mole ratio (CA/TM), calcination temperature and time on ...

The limited hydrolisis of bacteriophage MS2 RNA by nuclease S1 and ds-specific snake venom RNase was studied in a wide range of ionic strength, at different pH, after heating and (slow and fast) cooling and at various enzyme-substrate relations. It was shown that the RNA has exposed hydrolisis sites for both nucleases.
