Groundwater radon measurements in the Mt. Etna area

open access: yes, 2003
Radon levels were measured in 119 groundwater samples collected throughout the active volcanic area of Mt. Etna by means of a portable Lucas-type scintillation chamber. The measured activity values range from 1.8 to 52.7 Bq l 1.

Double-difference tomography at Mt Etna volcano: Preliminary results

open access: yes, 2009
We performed a preliminary double-difference tomographic study using earthquake data recorded by the INGV-Catania seismic network during the large seismic and eruptive crisis of 2002-2003 at Mt Etna volcano.

Moment tensor solutions at Mt Etna Volcano, southern Italy

open access: yes, 2019
In a volcano, seismic events can be related to multiple processes, such as brittle fracture, fluid flow, mass transport and volumetric changes. Therefore, seismic signal analysis and an adequate characterization of the seismic source is usually performed to monitor its activity and to provide a reliable understanding of its internal processes.
