Combining Native and Malted Triticale Flours in Biscuits: Nutritional and Technological Implications

open access: yesFoods, 2023
Triticale-based biscuits were formulated with increasing substitution levels (i.e., 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% w/w) of malted triticale flour (MTF). The products were analyzed for technological and nutritional characteristics, including the evaluation of ...

Remote Language Assessment in School‐Age Children With Phelan–McDermid Syndrome and Genotype–Phenotype Correlation

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT People with Phelan–McDermid syndrome (PMS) have reduced speech and language abilities, yet little research has profiled the communication abilities in this population. The purpose of this study was threefold: identifying the language and communication profiles of school‐aged children with PMS, identifying genetic contributions to language and ...

Lunar-edge based on-orbit modulation transfer function (MTF) measurement

open access: yes, 2017
Modulation transfer function (MTF) is an important parameter for image quality evaluation of on-orbit optical image systems. Various methods have been proposed to determine the MTF of an imaging system which are based on images containing point, pulse ...

Classifying avian drinking behaviour: ecological insights and implications in a changing world

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Water is a fundamental currency of life, and its availability significantly influences animal behaviour, physiology and distributions. However, our knowledge around the dependence on water for drinking and the direct and indirect mechanisms driving related behaviours remains partial in the context of changing climates. Here, we review patterns

Detection of SF6 decomposition gases using ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy based on Markov transition fields

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
Partial discharge caused by insulation faults in gas-insulated switchgear can lead to the decomposition of the insulating medium, SF6 gas. The byproducts of this decomposition, fluorosulfides, can react with moisture and oxygen in the equipment ...

MTF network connectivity.

open access: yes, 2019
Di,j is the distance between Source i and MTF j and Pi,j is the probability that a given casualty generated by Source i will be directed to MTF j (for clarity only the labels between Source 1 and MTF 1 are shown).

Co‐Firing Slow Solidification Process for Growing Indium‐Doped Cs3Cu2I5 Single Crystals With Record‐Breaking X‐Ray Detection Performance

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A novel brand‐new co‐firing slow solidification process has been used to prepare Cs3Cu2I5: In single crystals (SCs), which demonstrate record‐breaking X‐ray detection performance. The regular‐shaped Cs3Cu2I5: In wafer obtains a high light yield (74 368 Ph MeV−1), which is the highest related to indium‐doped Cu‐based perovskites.
