Colonic Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma [PDF]

open access: yesCase Reports in Gastroenterology, 2012
Colonic mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas are rare and a definitive treatment has not been established. Solitary or multiple, elevated or polypoid lesions are the usual appearances of MALT lymphoma in the colon and sometimes the surface may reveal abnormal vascularity.

Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma of the Larynx [PDF]

open access: yesCase Reports in Otolaryngology, 2020
Background. Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas are a subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma stemming from marginal zone B-cells. In this case report, we present two patients with an extremely rare localization of MALT lymphoma to the larynx. Methods.

Conjunctival dysbiosis in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
AbstractTo investigate the conjunctival microbiota and the association between the development of conjunctival mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma and dysbiosis, DNA samples were collected from 25 conjunctival MALT lymphoma patients and 25 healthy controls.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma in conjunctiva

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology, 2008
A case of primary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma (marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of MALT according to WHO classification) in conjunctiva, which presented as a slowly growing salmon-colored mass at limbus of left eye is reported. Histological examination revealed a diffuse low-grade lymphoma.

open access: yes, 2012
Extranodal marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma) is an extranodal lymphoma composed of morphologically heterogeneous small B-cells including marginal zone (centrocyte-like) cells, cells resembling monocytoid cells, small lymphocytes, and scattered immunoblasts and centroblast-like cells.

Terminology: nomenclature of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue [PDF]

open access: yesMucosal Immunology, 2008
Stimulation of mucosal immunity has great potential in vaccinology and immunotherapy. However, the mucosal immune system is more complex than the systemic counterpart, both in terms of anatomy (inductive and effector tissues) and effectors (cells and molecules).

Multiple Mucosa-associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma of the Trachea

open access: yesInternal Medicine, 2017
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma is a common type of primary pulmonary carcinoma, but the presence of polypoid nodules is extremely rare. We herein report two cases with multiple nodules in the trachea. One case involved polypoid nodules and airway stenosis mimicking asthma; the other case had concurrent nontuberculous mycobacterial infection.
