Seminars in Oncology Nursing, 2006
To review the pathogenesis of MALT lymphoma, and the associations with antigenic stimulation, presentation, and unique treatment.Research and review articles and textbooks.MALT lymphoma is a heterogeneous but unique pathologic form of extranodal B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Interaction of Microorganisms, Epithelium, and Lymphoid Cells of the Mucosa‐Associated Lymphoid Tissue

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 1998
ABSTRACT:Differentiation of specific epithelial cell lineages during development, as well as epithelial plasticity in response to heterologous cell‐to‐cell cross talk during adult life, accounts for the large variety of functions which are performed by the mucosal surfaces found in the human body.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue and other gastrointestinal lymphomas

Current Opinion in Gastroenterology, 2000
The gastrointestinal tract is the most common site for extranodal lymphomas. The most common, and consequently the most studied, gastrointestinal lymphoma is gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma, which is a paradigm for all gastrointestinal lymphomas.

Thymic and Pulmonary Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphomas

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 2013
A 52-year-old woman with no history of autoimmune disease was found to have a mediastinal tumor and focal airspace opacity in the right lung. Tissue diagnosis was obtained by resection of the mediastinal tumor and open fine needle aspiration of the right pulmonary tissue through a median sternotomy.

MALT (»mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue«)

2016

Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphomas

2003
Abstract Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract accounts for 4% to 20% of all NHL, making the GI tract the most common extranodal site of NHL presentation. Most of these lymphomas arise from mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT).

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma

2016
Abstract: In this literature review, an overview of the current knowledge of MALT lymphoma in man is provided. Where appropriate, attention is paid to the presence of the lesion in veterinary medicine. Lymphomas of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) may originate from lymphoid tissue that is induced in the mucosae.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma.

Seminars in hematology, 1999
A distinctive type of low-grade extranodal lymphoma recapitulates the cytomorphologic features of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT). Typically, these MALT lymphomas arise from sites normally devoid of lymphoid tissue, but are preceded by chronic inflammatory, usually autoimmune, disorders that result in the accumulation of lymphoid tissue.
