Gastric Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma
American Journal of Gastroenterology, 2003The connection between Helicobacter pylori and gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is well established. H. pylori infection causes an immunological response, leading to chronic gastritis with formation of lymphoid follicles within the stomach.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphomas
Current Oncology Reports, 2000Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma has attracted attention because its concept has amalgamated the study of etiology and pathogenesis in an intriguing group of lymphomas. MALT lymphomas are a B-cell malignancy with characteristic lymphoepithelial lesions; cells are CD20-positive and CD5- and CD10-negative.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma
Current Opinion in Hematology, 2002Since the first description of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma in 1983 rapid advances have been made in the understanding of the pathogenesis and underlying molecular events associated with the development of this tumor. Lymphoma arises at extranodal sites in which a pre-existing inflammatory response has provoked the acquisition of ...

Leukemic-phase mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma
International Journal of Hematology, 2023A 78-year-old man presenting with leukocytosis was admitted to our hospital. The patient was asymptomatic and showed no lymphadenopathy. Peripheral blood flow cytometry revealed a leukemic-phase B-cell lymphoma with medium-to-large abnormal cells with reticulum.

Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue (MALT) Lymphoma
Seminars in Oncology Nursing, 2006To review the pathogenesis of MALT lymphoma, and the associations with antigenic stimulation, presentation, and unique treatment.Research and review articles and textbooks.MALT lymphoma is a heterogeneous but unique pathologic form of extranodal B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphomas
Current Opinion in Oncology, 1995Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas are a distinct subgroup of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with a particular clinicopathologic behavior. The gastrointestinal tract is involved in two thirds of the cases, but it may be observed in lung, breast, bladder, conjunctiva, kidney, liver, skin, salivary glands, thyroid, and thymus.

Sinonasal Mucosa–Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma
Archives of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, 1999Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) is a specialized form of lymphoid tissue that may be acquired at sites in response to chronic inflammation. Most low-grade, B-cell, non-Hodgkin lymphomas that occur at extranodal sites derive from acquired MALT.

Nongastric Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphomas
Clinical Lymphoma, 2003Nongastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT)-derived lymphomas arise from various extranodal locations and are usually related to a particular pathogenesis with a possible external (environmental or autoimmune) event inducing the disease. We reviewed 165 patients with nongastric MALT lymphoma among the 243 patients with MALT lymphoma in our ...

Malignant lymphoma of mucosa‐associated lymphoid tissue
Histopathology, 1987Lymphomas of the gastrointestinal tract, salivary glands, lung and thyroid are grouped together as tumours arising in mucosa‐associated lymphoid tissue. The great majority of them are of B‐cell origin but distinctive T‐cell lymphomas are also recognized in the gastrointestinal tract.

AbstractBackground and AimThere are few cases of duodenal mucosa‐associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma reported in the literature, and little is known about the clinical course of this disease. Here, we aimed to characterize the clinical features of duodenal MALT lymphoma by comparison with gastric MALT lymphoma.MethodsThirteen patients diagnosed ...
