Mucosa‐associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) Iymphoma
Pathology International, 1995SUMMARYIsaacson et al. defined MALT lymphoma as a neoplasm that mimics MALT lymphocytes, which are normally present in the small intestine. However, there are various problems with this definition of MALT lymphoma. First, the incidence of MALT lymphoma is not high in sites where MALT lymphocytes are normally present.

[Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue-derived (MALT) lymphoma].
Revue de pneumologie clinique, 2016Pulmonary Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue (MALT)-type lymphoma is the most frequent primary pulmonary lymphoma. We report the case of a patient who presented a pulmonary MALT-type lymphoma treated with chloraminophen, with a recurrence 5 years later characterized with pulmonary lesions associated with a gastric location.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue and other gastrointestinal lymphomas
Current Opinion in Gastroenterology, 2000The gastrointestinal tract is the most common site for extranodal lymphomas. The most common, and consequently the most studied, gastrointestinal lymphoma is gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma, which is a paradigm for all gastrointestinal lymphomas.

Tumor Biology of Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphomas
2000Extranodal lymphomas arising at mucosal sites exhibit clinicopathological features that suggest a closer relationship of these tumors to the structure and function of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) than to lymph nodes. The factors that induce MALT in these tissues are operative in early MALT lymphoma development and the progressive ...
