Advanced Science, EarlyView.Zinc activates the ZNG1‐METAP1 complex to elevate intracellular SAM levels, which promotes PRMT5‐mediated symmetrical dimethylation of AKT at R391 and R15. This epigenetic modification facilitates AKT membrane translocation and mTORC2 activation, thereby enhancing epithelial proliferation and gut barrier integrity.
