Experimental investigations of the effect of oil based mud (OBM) contamination on long-term integrity of API cements [PDF]
Well construction, well abandonment, and restoration of well integrity are the reasons at a broad level why cementing jobs are performed. During the well construction phase, the primary objective of the cementing job is to replace the drilling mud in the

Abstract Fishes of the genus Enchodus were abundant and cosmopolitan in the Late Cretaceous, but are primarily known from isolated remains in Canada. Four well‐preserved fish skulls were recovered in recent years from ammolite mines sampling the Bearpaw Formation of Southern Alberta, and are here referred to Enchodus petrosus Cope, 1874.

Drag-Reduction Performance Evaluation of Controllable Hybrid Steering Drilling System
The excessive drag/torque and the backing pressure is an important factor that restricts the improvement of the penetration rate and the extension of the drilling in the sliding drilling process of extended-reach wells and horizontal wells.

Optimizing Self-Compacting Concrete through the Incorporation of Calcined Mud at 850°C
The quantity of mud increases annually at dam sites, thereby reducing their storage capacity. To extend the lifespan of these structures, dam dredging is an essential solution.

High Data Rate MWD Mud Pulse Telemetry – From Mysteries to Discovery
Our new approach to MWD mud pulse telemetry offers significant increases over conventional data rates. Using waveguide acoustics, we show that common drilling communications channels support carrier frequencies exceeding several hundred Hertz.
