ABSTRACT Facies characterization in carbonate reservoirs remains challenging due to their pronounced textural and structural heterogeneity. Variations in grain packing, cementation, and diagenetic overprints produce contrasting acoustic responses in borehole image logs, often limiting the reproducibility of facies interpretation.

ABSTRACT High‐Andean forage systems are characterized by extensive management of cultivated forages, primarily through rotation of forage oats (Avena sativa) and alfalfa (Medicago sativa), under marginal edaphoclimatic conditions. Within this context, soil sodicity severely constrains the productivity of these systems in the districts of Ayaviri and ...

Satellite‐Based Assessment of Methane Emissions From the Darvaza Gas Crater
Abstract Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, and the Darvaza crater in Turkmenistan is a rare, persistent emitter. There are uncertainties regarding its formation date (either 1963 or 1971), fire ignition, and the fire's influence on methane release. Using historical Landsat imagery, we reconstruct the fire history, identifying that combustion began ...

Study of the activity dynamics of the Otman-Bozdag mud volcano
Relevance. Otman-Bozdag is one of the most active and potentially hazardous mud volcanoes of the Absheron Peninsula, capable of producing large-scale emissions of breccia, gases, and thermal en- ergy.

Abstract Low frequency sound can travel great distances in planetary atmospheres. When these waves reflect off the air/ground interface, energy may be absorbed or transferred to mechanical waves in the subsurface. This study describes the direct and reflected acoustic wave generated by the re‐entry of the OSIRIS‐REx Sample Return Capsule captured on a ...

Abstract The stability of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) remains a major uncertainty in sea‐level projections, and geologic records provide important constraints on its past behavior. We present 40Ar/39Ar ages of biotite and hornblende grains from iceberg‐rafted debris (IRD) in two Amundsen Sea sediment cores (PC493 and PS58/254), located south ...
