Mueller matrix by imaging polarimeter
SPIE Proceedings, 2012Most of imaging polarimeters in the field measure only a few components of the Mueller matrix or their combinations such as Stokes vector, degree of linear polarization (DOLP) and degree of circular polarization (DOCP). Our imaging polarimeter was similar in that it produced two combinations of 16 Mueller components.

Snapshot imaging Mueller matrix instrument
SPIE Proceedings, 2013A novel way to measure the Mueller matrix image enables a sample's diattenuation, retardance, and depolarization to be measured within a single camera integration period. Since the Mueller matrix components are modulated onto coincident carrier frequencies, the described technique provides unique solutions to image registration problems for moving ...

Error analysis for Mueller matrix measurement
Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2003The linear errors of Mueller matrix measurements are formulated for misalignment, depolarization, and incorrect retardation of the polarimetric components. The measured errors of a Mueller matrix depend not only on the imperfections of the measuring system but also on the Mueller matrix itself.

Mueller matrix dual-rotating retarder polarimeter
Applied Optics, 1992A computer-controlled Mueller matrix polarimeter with dual rotating retarders is described. Bulk properties of optical materials are determined by controlling the input-polarization state and measuring the output-polarization state. The Mueller matrix of a sample is obtained from polarimetric measurements, and polarization properties, i.e ...

Monostatic Mueller matrix laser reflectometer
SPIE Proceedings, 2005An instrument is described that operates as a true monostatic reflectometer. The instrument collects complete polarimetric information as well as reflectance. A beamsplitter at 45° to the incident and reflected beam allows monostatic operation. Complete polarimetric information in the form of Mueller matrices are measured by using a polarization state ...
