Performance of MUF resins for particleboard before and after spray-drying

open access: yesJournal of Adhesion Science and Technology, 2013
Melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) resins can be spray-dried to obtain resins in powder form and indefinite shelf-life. Application as particleboard adhesives of such resins after redissolving in water yield resins of excellent performance as particleboard adhesives if the natural advancement caused by the heat in the spray-drier chamber is taken into ...

A Robust Metal‐Organic Framework With ‘Molecular Gates’ for Efficient Separation of Ethane From Ethylene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 21, 18 May 2026.
By installing an amino‐based molecular gate at a specific site within a robust zinc‐adenine framework, temperature‐tunable inversion of C2H6/C2H4 selectivity is achieved, enabling single‐step on‐stream production of polymer‐grade ethylene. ABSTRACT Ethane‐selective sorbents can enable single‐step purification of ethylene but remain elusive to date.

Potential of Bee Pollen as a Nutraceutical And/Or Functional Ingredient for Metabolic Syndrome Management: In Vitro Antioxidant, Anti‐Inflammatory, and Digestive Enzyme Inhibitory Activities

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Bee pollen samples from China and Spain exhibited in vitro antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and digestive enzyme inhibitory activities due to their composition, suggesting their potential as a nutraceutical or functional ingredient to help counteract oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, and metabolic disorders.

Tariff: The Most Beautiful Word in the Dictionary?

open access: yesReview of International Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We consider the welfare impacts of US tariff policy at levels proposed by President Donald J. Trump. General‐equilibrium simulations under a widely used transparent one‐sector trade model reveal sizable US welfare losses. When we extend the model to include bilateral firm selection and high resolution input–output linkages, the US losses ...

Age‐Related and Seasonal Variation in Malaria and Other Causes of Fever and Their Association With Clinical Outcomes in Southern Angola: A Hospital‐Based Study

open access: yesTropical Medicine &International Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Acute febrile illnesses in sub‐Saharan Africa are often attributed to malaria, yet many patients test negative for malaria parasites. The aetiology of nonmalarial fevers remains understudied. Here, we examine likely causes of febrile illnesses and their association with poor clinical outcomes in Angola.

Nighttime above‐the‐MUF HF propagation on a midlatitude circuit [PDF]

open access: yesRadio Science, 2008
HF radio propagation was observed regularly during the night at frequencies above the classical Maximum Usable Frequency (MUF) on the circuit from Fort Collins, Colorado, to Boston, Massachusetts, during 2003 (McNamara et al., 2006). This propagation was attributed to above‐the‐MUF propagation, in the sense of normal refraction by over‐dense regions in

Global Fluoride Toxicology Landscape: Bibliometric Approaches and Scientific Mapping

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, Volume 41, Issue 7, Page 416-458, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This study analyzed research trends in the 100 most‐cited articles on fluoride toxicology, a topic widely debated due to the toxic effects associated with levels deemed safe for human exposure. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using the Web of Science‐Core Collection, extracting data such as citation count, authors, keywords, journal ...

An Integrated Assessment of European Soil Health and Restoration Potential

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Soils host a significant proportion of biodiversity on Earth providing ecosystem functions vital to human well‐being, making it imperative to include them and their ecological features when addressing sustainability goals. We performed a comprehensive assessment of soil health across Europe by explicitly integrating biotic and abiotic ...
