Household food and water insecurity and its association with diarrhoea, respiratory illness, and stunting in Ecuadorian children under 5 years

Household food insecurity (HFI) and household water insecurity (HWI) can independently and jointly impact health and nutritional outcomes of Ecuadorian infants and young children. Children living in households experiencing concurrent moderate‐severe HFI and HWI appear to be at a heightened risk of diarrhoea and respiratory illness symptoms.
