ABSTRACT Coal pyrolysis, as a key thermochemical conversion process, is significantly influenced by inherent minerals, yet their role across different coal ranks remains inadequately understood. This study investigates the effect of acid‐washing (demineralization) on the thermal decomposition of six functional groups (aliphatic C–H, aromatic C–H/C=C, C=

This study develops an interpretable machine‐learning framework to predict multiple properties of polymer composites based on composition and processing variables. By combining ensemble models with composition‐based feature generation and SHAP‐based interpretation, the approach reveals composition‐property relationships and supports efficient multi ...

Investigation of Microscopic Nonmetallic Inclusions in Powder Metallurgical High‐Speed Steels
Methods for inclusion analysis are evaluated for suitability. Various powder metallurgical steels in different processing states are characterized. SEM/EDS data are further analyzed using analytical and statistical approaches. A thermodynamic method for determining inclusion phase composition is tested.

Multiphase composites obtained by sintering reaction of boehmite and zircon part I: Development and microstructural characterization [PDF]
In this work, different composites (zircon-mullite, zirconia-mullite-zirconia, mullite-zirconia and alumina-zirconia-mullite) were developed by reactive sintering of a powder mixture of boehmite (AlOOH)) and zircon (ZrSiO)4.

Study on synthesizing mullite with bauxite tailing
To enhance the efficient utilization of bauxite tailings, the mullite was synthesized by bauxite tailings in molybdenum wire furnace at 1 550℃ and 1 650℃ for 4 h.The sintered samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)

The in situ agglomeration behavior of semisolid Al–silicate inclusions in Si‐killed steel is studied using high‐temperature confocal scanning laser microscopy. Particle motion and interparticle forces at the steel/argon interface are quantified and compared with a modified capillary interaction model.
