Performance Evaluation of Adaptive Modulation for Multi-Band OFDM

IEICE Transactions on Communications, 2006
In this letter, we provide a performance evaluation of a Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MB-OFDM) with adaptive modulation in a multipath fading channel. The MB-OFDM system in conjunction with adaptive modulation technique can be considered as one of the solutions for severely degraded channels such as those common in frequency ...

Distortion Performance Prediction in Multi-Band Radio over Fiber Systems Exploiting Direct Laser Modulation

2006 European Microwave Conference, 2006
An efficient numerical tool has been developed for Radio over Fiber (RoF) link performance evaluation. Successful comparisons have been made between modeled and measured quantities in RoF links intended for wireless signal distribution.

Multi-mode multi-band power amplifier module with high low-power efficiency

Journal of Semiconductors, 2015
Increasingly, mobile communications standards require high power efficiency and low currents in the low power mode. This paper proposes a fully-integrated multi-mode and multi-band power amplifier module (PAM) to meet these requirements. A dual-path PAM is designed for high-power mode (HPM), medium-power mode (MPM), and low-power mode (LPM) operations ...

Experimental Verification of Visible Light Communications based on Multi-Band CAP Modulation

Optical Fiber Communication Conference, 2015
A multi-band CAP system is experimentally demonstrated for the first time in VLC. We show that with an 8-CAP testbed spectral efficiencies (∼4.75 b/s/Hz) at a realistic distance of 1 m can be reached.

Multi-band microwave photonic satellite repeater scheme employing intensity Mach-Zehnder modulators

The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications, 2017
Abstract To solve the satellite repeater's flexible and wideband frequency conversion problem, we propose a novel microwave photonic repeater system, which can convert the upload signal's carrier to six different frequencies. The scheme employs one 20 GHz bandwidth dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) and two 10 GHz bandwidth MZMs.

Advanced multi-band modulation schemes for high speed data center optical interconnects

2016 25th Wireless and Optical Communication Conference (WOCC), 2016
A 56 Gb/s multi-band CAP link with zero overhead signal recovery and enhanced timing jitter tolerance is demonstrated for intra- and inter-data center optical interconnects. It is the first examination of a 56-Gb/s Multi-band CAP signal transmission over 80 km SMF in terms of OSNR performance and chromatic dispersion tolerance.

A Multi-band GNSS Signal Sampler Module with Open-Source Software Receiver

ION GNSS+, The International Technical Meeting of the Satellite Division of The Institute of Navigation, 2016
Multi-constellation and multi-frequency GNSS signals are a reality now and their benefits have been the topic of discussion in the recent past amongst the GNSS user segment at large. However, to conduct an experiment involving multi-constellation and multi-frequency signals without an expensive hardware or to quickly examine the result of an ...

A comparison of different module configurations for multi-band-gap solar cells

Solar Cells, 1988
Abstract The use of different module configurations with multijunction (MJ) solar cells was investigated. Module configuration refers to the electrical circuit in which the subcells of the MJ cell are connected. The simplest configuration has the subcells connected in series.

Balanced SiGe PA Module for Multi-Band and Multi-Mode Cellular-Phone Applications

2008 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference - Digest of Technical Papers, 2008
In this paper, the integration of a MM (GSM/EDGE/WCDMA) MB (850/900MHz, 1800/1900/2100MHz) 50 Omega-matched isolator-less flip-chip PAs, capable of envelope and power tracking operation, is discussed. The PAs are integrated in a 0.25 mum SiGe technology and are soldered on a 4-layer substrate. The system is hosted in a 6 x 8 mm2 plastic module.
