Exploring Coupled Solitons in Multi-Core Optical Fiber.
1995Abstract : We use calculations and experiments to explore dual core optical fiber regarding its potential for robust transmission of coupled solitons at high data rate. The encouraging findings are that physical mechanisms can be identified that appear valuable to improved information transmission.

Data interchange across cores of multi-core optical fibers
Optical Fiber Technology, 2015Abstract A novel device for data interchange among space-division multiplexed cores inside MCF is demonstrated using numerical simulations. The device allows complete exchange of all WDM data channels between MCF cores in propagation direction whether the channels have the same or different sets of wavelengths.

Coherent propagation of laser pulses in optical multi-core fiber
2018 International Conference Laser Optics (ICLO), 2018Analytical and numerical studies of the coherent propagation of laser radiation in a small-sized system of weakly coupled fibers are carried out. Configurations of the wave field in a multi-core fiber are found to ensure coherent propagation of radiation with a power exceeding the critical for self-focusing in a homogeneous medium.
