Algorithm Libraries for Multi-Core Processors

open access: yes, 2010
By providing parallelized versions of established algorithm libraries, we ease the exploitation of the multiple cores on modern processors for the programmer. The Multi-Core STL provides basic algorithms for internal memory, while the parallelized STXXL enables multi-core acceleration for algorithms on large data sets stored on disk.

Parallel Modular Multiplication on Multi-core Processors [PDF]

open access: yes2013 IEEE 21st Symposium on Computer Arithmetic, 2013
Current processors typically embed many cores running at high speed. The main goal of this paper is to assess the efficiency of software parallelism for low level arithmetic operations by providing a thorough comparison of several parallel modular multiplications. Famous methods such as Barrett, Montgomery as well as more recent algorithms are compared
