Evaluating Node Importance with Multi-Criteria

2010 IEEE/ACM Int'l Conference on Green Computing and Communications & Int'l Conference on Cyber, Physical and Social Computing, 2010
The problem of evaluating node importance in complex networks has been an active area of research in recent years, and many algorithms and software tools were developed. Most of the current algorithms deal with single criterion ranking, such as degree of nodes.

Multi‐criteria evaluation of loan applications in shipping

Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, 2002
AbstractThe development of the shipping industry has been traditionally based on bank loans. An important step in the credit granting process is the application for the loan and the consequent evaluation of this application by the bank. Numerous bankers, consultants, as well as academics have been addressing this matter, presenting requirements to be ...

A multi-criteria evaluation platform for segmentation algorithms

2016 38th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC), 2016
The purpose of this paper is to present a platform for evaluating segmentation algorithms that detect anatomical structures in medical images. Structure detection being subject to human interpretation, we first describe a method to define a ground truth model, i.e. a generated bronze standard, that will be the reference for subsequent analysis.

Multi Criteria Evaluation (MCE)

2017
This technical note presents multi criteria evaluation (EMC). EMC is, in the frame of modeling, a technique used to allocate simulated quantities to most probable or suitable space. First we present the interest and technical details of this technique before giving an example.

Multi‐criteria evaluation of climate policy interactions

Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, 2006
AbstractThe effectiveness of a national climate policy instrument is affected by the presence of policy interactions with other instruments that were not forecasted before its implementation. The problem can be confronted during the design of the instrument by determining forms, types and size of emerging interactions.

Multi-criteria evaluation of site selection alternatives

Technology Management : the New International Language, 2002
Methodologies are presented which can greatly aid in the site selection decision process. The site selection process is viewed as being composed of two major stages or phases. Phase I involves the application of quantitative models to identify potential locations.

Multi-Criteria Analysis for Policy Evaluation

2010
Multi-criteria analysis (MCA) has been proposed as a helpful tool for policy evaluation. Important steps of MCA are the structuring of the problem, including the formulation of policy options and policy objectives, the evaluation of the policy options with regard to the policy objectives and, from these evaluations, the identification of preferred ...
