Image fusion in the JPEG 2000 domain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper presents a novel approach to image fusion in the JPEG 2000 domain. In this scheme, compressed images are fused without the need for full decompression. The proposed method can be integrated with the existing JPEG 2000 tools.

Multi-Exposure Fusion With Guidance Information: Night Color Image Enhancement for Roadside Units

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The computer vision-based roadside occupation surveillance system is a key infrastructure component of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems. However, traffic images captured under low-light conditions suffer from low visibility and unexpected noise.

Multi-exposure Image Fusion using Patch-based Component Decomposition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Emerging Research in Engineering, Science, and Management, 2022
Multi exposure image fusion is always a challenge in task in image processing. The multiple images with the different image content, when mixed using a fusion formula generate different effects. One of the most prominent effects is ghosting effect. Ghost

Multiresolution-based image fusion with additive wavelet decomposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The standard data fusion methods may not be satisfactory to merge a high-resolution panchromatic image and a low-resolution multispectral image because they can distort the spectral characteristics of the multispectral data.

Exposure Interpolation for Two Large-Exposure-Ratio Images

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Existing multi-scale exposure fusion (MEF) algorithms which focus on defining weight maps to extract reliable information. However, they are difficult to preserve brightness order among over-exposed regions of a bright image and under-exposed regions of ...

Multi-Exposure Fusion of Gray Images Under Low Illumination Based on Low-Rank Decomposition

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Existing multi-exposure fusion (MEF) algorithms for gray images under low-illumination cannot preserve details in dark and highlighted regions very well, and the fusion image noise is large. To address these problems, an MEF method is proposed.

Weighted Sparse Representation and Gradient Domain Guided Filter Pyramid Image Fusion Based on Low-Light-Level Dual-Channel Camera

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2019
Generally, the dynamic range of night vision scenes is large. Owing to the limited dynamic range of traditional low light imaging technology, the captured images are always partially overexposed or underexposed.
