Superpixel-Based Multi-focus Image Fusion
2021Due to the finite depth of field of optical lenses, it is difficult to make all objects in an image sharp and clear. Only objects within the depth of field are in focus and sharp, while the others are defocused and blurred. In this study, a superpixel-based multi-focus image fusion approach is proposed. First, each multi-focus source image is performed

Multi-focus ultrasonic transducer
Ferroelectrics, 1983Abstract An ultrasonic transducer concept is described where a plurality of different focal lengths, within a unitary structure, are the result of combining the one-dimensional focusing by individual zones of a piezoelectric spiral-shaped cylindrical surface with orthogonal focusing due to individual Fresnel zone electrode patterns.

The focal length of an acoustic ultrasound transducer is made variable by shaping the focusing element positioned over the transducer. The focusing means consists of a non-uniform focusing element whereby the transducer can be manipulated either electronically or mechanically to optimize the depth of focus for the area of interest.

Salience Preserving Multi-Focus Image Fusion
Multimedia and Expo, 2007 IEEE International Conference on, 2007This paper proposes a novel multi-focus image fusion algorithm. Different from traditional decision map based methods, our algorithm is based on salience preserving gradient, which can better emphasize the structure details of sources while preserving the color consistency.

Multi-Focus Imaging Utilizing Huygens Metasurface
2018 48th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), 2018Full control of electromagnetic (EM) wave is an important and tough issue for electromagnetism. Recently, Huygens metasurface is proposed to manipulate the propagation of EM wave with a relatively high efficiency. Huygens metasurface can be regarded as a two-dimensional array composed of crossed magnetic and electric dipoles which can generate specific

Fence Removal from Multi-focus Images
2010 20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2010When an image of a scene is captured by a camera through a fence, a blurred fence image interrupts objects in the scene. In this paper, we propose a method for a fence removal from the image using multiple focusing. Most of previous methods interpolate the interrupted regions by using information of surrounding textures.

Broadband transskull multi-focus wavefront synthesis
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2018Multiple-focus pattern synthesis using ultrasound arrays has been previously demonstrated. Furthermore, an optimal synthesis method was shown to provide well-behaved solutions. This method creates predefined focus patterns at a single frequency for an ultrasonic array operating in continuous wave.

Dense Multi-focus Fusion Net: A Deep Unsupervised Convolutional Network for Multi-focus Image Fusion
2019In this paper, we introduce a novel unsupervised deep learning (DL) method for multi-focus image fusion. Existing multi-focus image fusion (MFIF) methods based on DL treat MFIF as a classification problem with a massive amount of reference images to train networks.

Multi-focus application in mobile phone
2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE), 2017This paper proposes an object based multi-focus method which is implemented on mobile device. To achieve low computation complexity in the same object determination for multi input image, this paper adapts Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF algorithm to detect feature points.
