Elastic scroll for multi-focus interactions

Adjunct proceedings of the 25th annual ACM symposium on User interface software and technology, 2012
This paper proposes a novel and efficient multi-focus scroll interface that consists of a two-step operation using a con-tents distortion technique. The displayed content can be handled just like an elastic material that can be shrunk and stretched by a user's fingers.

Wavelet based multi-focus image fusion

2009 Proceeding of International Conference on Methods and Models in Computer Science (ICM2CS), 2009
Image fusion is the process by which two or more images are combined into a single image, retaining the important features from each of the original images. The goal of Image Fusion (IF) is to integrate complementary multi-sensor, multi-temporal and/or multi-view information into one new image, the quality of which cannot be achieved otherwise.

Design of multi-focus intraocular lenses

Chinese Journal of Optics and Applied Optics, 2012
The Liou-Brennan eye model is constructed using the optical design software ZEMAX.The Depth of Focus(DOF),extended Intraocular Lenses(IOL) that includes aspherical IOL,refractive multifocal IOL and diffractive multifocus IOL are included in the design. The optical performance of the pseudophakic eye for the designed IOLs is analyzed for both the spot ...

Compressive Sensing Multi-focus Image Fusion

2014
Based on the compressive sensing theory (CS), various compressive imaging (CI) systems have been developed. Meanwhile, image fusion methods that directly perform on the measurements from multiple CI sensors are also investigated in literatures. In this paper, we presented a multi-focus image fusion method in compressive sensing domain.

Multi Focus Image Fusion by Differential Evolution Algorithm

Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics, 2014
In applications of imaging system one of the major problems is the limited depth of field which disallow to obtain all-in-focus image. However, microscopic and photographic applications desire to have all-in-focus images. One of the most popular ways to obtain all-in-focus images is the multi focus image fusion.

Passive range sensor using multi-focus images

Proceedings of IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems. IROS '96, 2002
A focus-based passive range sensor is presented. As a basic principle this range sensor uses Asada et al's method (1993), which models the blurring of an ideal linear step edge and calculates edge depth by fitting this model to multi-focus images. However the applicability of their method to a real scene is open, because the assumption of an ideal ...
