Multi-focus image fusion using fractal dimension
Applied Optics, 2020Multi-focus image fusion is defined as “the combination of a group of partially focused images of a same scene with the objective of producing a fully focused image.” Normally, transform-domain-based image fusion methods preserve the textures and edges in the blend image, but many are translation variant. The translation-invariant

Spatial domain multi-focus image fusion
2017 25th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2017One of the main problem of the optical imaging systems is limited depth of field which prevent from obtaining an all-in-focus image of the environment. This paper proposes a novel pixel-based multi-focus image fusion method making use of a series of multi-focus images to obtain an all-in-focus image.

Superpixel-Based Multi-focus Image Fusion
2021Due to the finite depth of field of optical lenses, it is difficult to make all objects in an image sharp and clear. Only objects within the depth of field are in focus and sharp, while the others are defocused and blurred. In this study, a superpixel-based multi-focus image fusion approach is proposed. First, each multi-focus source image is performed

Multi-Focus Image Fusion of Digital Images
2009 International Conference on Advances in Recent Technologies in Communication and Computing, 2009Image fusion is the process by which two or more images are combined into a single image, retaining the important features from each of the original images. The goal of Image Fusion (IF) is to integrate complementary multi-sensor, multi-temporal and/or multi-view information into one new image, the quality of which cannot be achieved otherwise.

Salience Preserving Multi-Focus Image Fusion
Multimedia and Expo, 2007 IEEE International Conference on, 2007This paper proposes a novel multi-focus image fusion algorithm. Different from traditional decision map based methods, our algorithm is based on salience preserving gradient, which can better emphasize the structure details of sources while preserving the color consistency.

Multi-Focus Imaging Utilizing Huygens Metasurface
2018 48th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), 2018Full control of electromagnetic (EM) wave is an important and tough issue for electromagnetism. Recently, Huygens metasurface is proposed to manipulate the propagation of EM wave with a relatively high efficiency. Huygens metasurface can be regarded as a two-dimensional array composed of crossed magnetic and electric dipoles which can generate specific

Fence Removal from Multi-focus Images
2010 20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2010When an image of a scene is captured by a camera through a fence, a blurred fence image interrupts objects in the scene. In this paper, we propose a method for a fence removal from the image using multiple focusing. Most of previous methods interpolate the interrupted regions by using information of surrounding textures.

Multi-focus image fusion with joint guided image filtering
Signal Processing: Image Communication, 2021Abstract Multi-focus image fusion is the activity of synthesizing multiple images of different focusing settings to construct a fully focused image. Many of the latest methods for image fusion rarely consider the structural differences between the guidance image and the input image, and do not retain well the important source image features while ...
