Multi-focus image fusion based on nonsubsampled contourlet transform and residual removal
Signal Processing, 2021The goal of multi-focus image fusion is to integrate all focus pixels from the source images into the fused result and simultaneously avoid the introduction of defocused pixels.

Multi-focus image fusion based on fractional order differentiation and closed image matting.
ISA transactions, 2022This paper presents a novel approach to addressing the fusion of multi-focus images in either registered or mis-registered cases. The conventional approaches often produce blurred edges of objects in the fused images due to inaccurate decision maps.

SMFuse: Multi-Focus Image Fusion Via Self-Supervised Mask-Optimization
IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging, 2021In this paper, a novel self-supervised mask-optimization model, termed as SMFuse, is proposed for multi-focus image fusion. In our model, given two source images, a fully end-to-end Mask-Generator is trained to directly generate the binary mask without ...

Salience Preserving Multi-Focus Image Fusion
Multimedia and Expo, 2007 IEEE International Conference on, 2007This paper proposes a novel multi-focus image fusion algorithm. Different from traditional decision map based methods, our algorithm is based on salience preserving gradient, which can better emphasize the structure details of sources while preserving the color consistency.

Fusion2Void: Unsupervised Multi-Focus Image Fusion Based on Image Inpainting
IEEE transactions on circuits and systems for video technology (Print)Multi-focus image fusion aims to integrate clear segments from different partially focused images, creating an ‘all-in-focus’ composite. Due to the lack of ground-truth for multi-focus image fusion, supervised deep learning methods are deemed ...

Multi-focus Image Fusion using Neutrosophic based Wavelet Transform
Applied Soft Computing, 2021The key aim of Multi-focus Image Fusion (MFIF) is to gather all the necessary and useful information as well as features from the source images and then merge that information to develop a fused image.

Fence Removal from Multi-focus Images
2010 20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2010When an image of a scene is captured by a camera through a fence, a blurred fence image interrupts objects in the scene. In this paper, we propose a method for a fence removal from the image using multiple focusing. Most of previous methods interpolate the interrupted regions by using information of surrounding textures.

Multi-focus image fusion based on L1 image transform
Multimedia Tools and Applications, 2020In this paper, a new multi-focus image fusion algorithm based on L1 image transform is proposed. A distinctive advantage of the proposed algorithm is that an edge-preserving image decomposition (EPID) framework is constructed by introducing a L1-norm based image transform, which can not only effectively preserve and sharpen salient edges and ridges ...

Multi-focus image fusion using Content Adaptive Blurring
Multi-focus image fusion has emerged as an important research area in information fusion. It aims at increasing the depth-of-field by extracting focused regions from multiple partially focused images, and merging them together to produce a composite ...
