Multi-Focus Image Fusion Algorithm in Sensor Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Most imaging systems have a limited depth-of-field in the sensor networks that consist of multiple visual sensors. Due to different object distances, not every object can be clearly imaged by a single sensor.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

A Novel Multi-Focus Image Fusion Method Based on Stochastic Coordinate Coding and Local Density Peaks Clustering

open access: yesFuture Internet, 2016
The multi-focus image fusion method is used in image processing to generate all-focus images that have large depth of field (DOF) based on original multi-focus images.

A Novel De-Ghosting Image Fusion Technique for Multi-Exposure, Multi-Focus Images Using Guided Image Filtering

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper, a novel de-ghosting image fusion technique is presented, which enhances the quality of low dynamic range images using multi-level exposures taken from the ordinary camera and also removes the ghosting artifact.

Trainable Self-Guided Filter for Multi-Focus Image Fusion

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Cameras are limited in their ability to capture all-in-focus images due to their limited depth of field. This results in blurriness for objects too far in front of or behind the focused point.

Exploit the Best of Both End-to-End and Map-Based Methods for Multi-Focus Image Fusion

open access: yesIEEE transactions on multimedia
Multi-focus image fusion is a technique to fuse the images focused on different depth ranges to generate an all-in-focus image. Existing deep learning approaches to multi-focus image fusion can be categorized as end-to-end methods and decision map based ...

Multi Sensor Image Fusion using Empirical Mode Decomposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Image fusion is a process of combining relevant information from two or more images from different sensors based on certain algorithm. Many algorithms have been proposed for pixel level image fusion.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
