Multi-Focus Image Fusion in DCT Domain using Variance and Energy of Laplacian and Correlation Coefficient for Visual Sensor Networks [PDF]
The purpose of multi-focus image fusion is gathering the essential information and the focused parts from the input multi-focus images into a single image. These multi-focus images are captured with different depths of focus of cameras.

Multi-focus thermal image fusion
This paper proposes a novel algorithm for multi-focus thermal image fusion. The algorithm is based on local activity analysis and advanced pre-selection of images into fusion process. The algorithm improves the object temperature measurement error up to 5 Celsius degrees.

Multi-Focus Image Fusion With Point Detection Filter and Superpixel-Based Consistency Verification
An accurate and efficient measurement of pixel's sharpness is a critical factor in most multi-focus image fusion methods. In our practice, we found that the focused regions get more blurred than the defocus regions when the multi-focus images are blurred

Multi-focus Image Fusion Using Curvelet Transform [PDF]
Curvelet transform is a new muiti-scale geometic analysis, which has the characteristics of anisotropy. It is more suitable for the analysis of image curve edge characteristics than wavelet. Thus, in this paper it is applied to multi-focus image fusion, and used fusion rules that suitable for the characteristics of multi-focus image fusion.

Pseudo‐Siamese residual atrous pyramid network for multi‐focus image fusion
Depth of field is one of the critical reasons to limit the richness of image information. Usually, in a scene with multiple targets, when the distance between each target and the lens is different, the clear scene image can be get within a certain ...

Multi-scale pixel-based image fusion using multivariate empirical mode decomposition. [PDF]
A novel scheme to perform the fusion of multiple images using the multivariate empirical mode decomposition (MEMD) algorithm is proposed. Standard multi-scale fusion techniques make a priori assumptions regarding input data, whereas standard univariate ...

Efficient misalignment-robust multi-focus microscopical images fusion [PDF]
In this paper we propose a very efficient method to fuse the unregistered multi-focus microscopical images based on the speed-up robust features (SURF). Our method follows the pipeline of first registration and then fusion. However, instead of treating the registration and fusion as two completely independent stage, we propose to reuse the determinant ...

An oil painters recognition method based on cluster multiple kernel learning algorithm [PDF]
A lot of image processing research works focus on natural images, such as in classification, clustering, and the research on the recognition of artworks (such as oil paintings), from feature extraction to classifier design, is relatively few.
