Multi-frequency narrowband tissue characterization
IEEE Symposium on Ultrasonics, 2002Characterization of the tissue of a thin layer (e.g. an artery wall) can be achieved by comparison of the spectra of the reflections from the boundaries of the tissue layer. To avoid problems that arise from the use of short (broadband) pulses, the method proposed uses long and almost monochromatic pulses.

The invention relates to a multi-frequency band receiver comprising a first receiving path, a second receiving path, a combiner, a code multiplex base band stage and an amplifier controller. The first receiving path receives and processes a first code multiplex signal and the second receiving path receives and processes a second code multiplex signal ...

Multi-Frequency Atomic Force Microscopy
2010The atomic force microscope (AFM) was invented in 1986 [1], a close relative of another instrument, the scanning tunneling microscope (STM), invented in 1981 [2]. Both fall under the umbrella of techniques and instruments referred to as scanning probe microscopes (SPMs), with the common thread being that a sharp probe is scanned in a regular pattern to
