We investigate the possibility of a multi-Higgs doublet model where the lightest neutral Higgs boson ($h^0$) decouples from the fermion sector. We are partially motivated by the four $\ell^+\ell^-\gamma\gamma$ events with $M_{\gamma\gamma}\simeq60$\,GeV ...

The Higgs Decay Width in Multi-Scalar Doublet Models [PDF]
We show that there are regions of parameter space in multi-scalar doublet models where, in the first few hundred inverse femtobarns of data, the new charged and neutral scalars are not directly observable at the LHC and yet the Higgs decay rate to b bbar

CP-violation, asymmetries and interferences in t t ¯ ϕ $$ t\overline{t}\phi $$
In this paper, we use the associated production of top-quark pairs ( t t ¯ $$ t\overline{t} $$ ) with a generic scalar boson (ϕ) at the LHC (pp → t t ¯ ϕ $$ t\overline{t}\phi $$ ) to explore the sensitivity of a large set of observables to the sign of ...

New tools for dissecting the general 2HDM
Two Higgs doublet models (2HDM) provide the low energy effective theory (EFT) description in many well motivated extensions of the Standard Model. It is therefore relevant to study their properties, as well as the theoretical constraints on these models.

Abstract The scalar sector of the standard model (SM) consists of only one doublet with weak hypercharge Y = 1/2. Most extensions of the SM include an enlargement of the Higgs sector. There are many theoretical motivations to enlarge the scalar sector of the standard electroweak theory, even if one only considers extensions of that ...

Scalar resonances in leptophilic multi-Higgs-boson models [PDF]
We show that the Higgs resonance can be amplified in a 3-3-1 model with a multi-Higgs-boson ''lepto- philic'' scalar sector. This would allow the observation of the Higgs particle in muon colliders even for Higgs boson masses considerably higher than the ones expected to be seen in the electroweak standard model framework.

TeV-scale seesaw from a multi-Higgs model [PDF]
We suggest new simple model of generating tiny neutrino masses through a TeV-scale seesaw mechanism without requiring tiny Yukawa couplings. This model is a simple extension of the standard model by introducing extra one Higgs singlet, and one Higgs doublet with a tiny vacuum expectation value.

Spontaneous CP Violating Phase as The CKM Matrix Phase
We propose that the CP violating phase in the CKM mixing matrix is identical to the CP phases responsible for the spontaneous CP violation in the Higgs potential. A specific multi-Higgs model with Peccei-Quinn (PQ) symmetry is constructed to realize this

Tree-Level Vacuum Stability in Multi Higgs Models [PDF]
In the most general model with two Higgs doublets, if a minimum that preserves the $U(1)_{em}$ symmetry exists, then charge breaking (CB) minima cannot occur. The depth of the potential at a stationary point that breaks CB or CP, relative to the $U(1)_{em}$ preserving minimum, is proportional to the squared mass of the charged or pseudoscalar Higgs ...

CP violation plays a very important role in nature with implications both for Particle Physics and for Cosmology. Accounting for the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe requires the existence of new sources of CP violation beyond the ...
