Abstract The article examines the methods of switching the stages of a multi-level inverter in order to reduce the harmonic factor of the output voltage of the inverter. These methods use pulse-width modulation for switching, which is obtained by comparing a reference sinusoidal signal and a sequence of triangular pulses.
