Multi-Level Inverters—A Comparative Study
IETE Journal of Research, 2005Multi-level Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) inverters are gaining importance due to the fact that the lower order harmonics in the output waveform can be eliminated without any increase in the higher order harmonics, unlike the regular two level PWM inverters.

RTC Based Solar Power Multi-Level Inverter
2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI), 2018Power quality is a very important aspect in power system. The harmonics can be produced from various power electronics devices. This paper proposes a new fifteen level cascaded multilevel inverter. The inverter battery is charged using both solar and from service main. Solar is used to charge battery during day time and service main for the night time.

A Multi-Level Inverter for Driving a High Voltage Display
2005 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005The paper proposes a stepped inverter approach to generate a high voltage sinusoid at a frequency of few hundred Hz for driving a highly capacitive load. The need for such a driver stemmed from an ITS (intelligent transportation systems) project that requires efficient inverters for driving electroluminescent (EL) displays.

A review on intelligence algorithms for THD minimization in multi-level inverter
International Journal of Modelling and SimulationThe multi-level inverter (MLI) is advantageous for DC to AC voltage conversion in power distribution networks. The low-power applications require square and quasi-square waveforms, whereas the sinusoidal waveform is required in high-power applications ...

Control of Cascaded Multilevel Inverters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2003A new type of multilevel inverter is introduced which is created by cascading two three-phase three-level inverters using the load connection, but requires only one dc voltage source. This new inverter can operate as a seven-level inverter and naturally splits the power conversion into a higher-voltage lower-frequency inverter and a lower-voltage ...

Elimination of selective harmonics in a Multi-Level Inverter
2013 7th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Control (ISCO), 2013This paper presents a selective harmonics elimination in Multi-Level Inverter. The basic concept of this reduction is to eliminate specific harmonics, which are generally of the lowest orders, with an appropriate choice of switching angles. This paper employs Homotopy algorithm to solve the transcendental equations for finding the switching angles ...

A brief review on multi level inverter topologies
2016 International Conference on Circuit, Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT), 2016In this paper a brief review on different multilevel inverter topologies are discussed. Inverter is a power electronic device that converts DC power into AC power at desired output voltage and frequency. Multilevel Converters nowadays have become an interesting area in the field of industrial applications.
