An ultra-multi link manipulator

Proceedings IROS '91:IEEE/RSJ International Workshop on Intelligent Robots and Systems '91, 2002
Describes a distributed autonomous control for an ultra-multi plane manipulator. Each controller independently determines the way how to move each link. The necessary information for the controller is the target position, the position of the end-effector and the position of the link.

Control of Multi-Link Flexible Structures

Proceedings of the 2005 IEEE International Symposium on, Mediterrean Conference on Control and Automation Intelligent Control, 2005., 2005
A method of noncollocated controller design for non-uniform flexible structures, governed by the wave equation, is proposed. Exact, infinite dimensional, transfer functions, relating the actuation and measurement points, with general boundary conditions, are derived for the multi-link case. Three modeling methods are presented and discussed.

IP fast rerouting for multi-link failures

IEEE INFOCOM 2014 - IEEE Conference on Computer Communications, 2014
IP fast reroute methods are used to recover packets in the data plane upon link failures. Previous work provided methods that guarantee failure recovery from at most two-link failures. We develop an IP fast reroute method that employs rooted arc-disjoint spanning trees to guarantee recovery from up to $(k-1)$ link failures in a $k$ -edge ...

Experimental characterization of indoor multi-link channels

2009 IEEE 20th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2009
In this paper, an empirical model of the indoor distributed channel is presented. In particular, the shadowing and fading statistics are extracted from experimental data at 2.45 GHz in stationary and mobile scenarios. Highlights of the paper include a separate model for static and dynamic shadowing, a model for shadowing correlation, as well as a ...

On Dynamics and Control of Multi-Link Flexible Manipulators

Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1995
This paper presents solutions of dynamics, inverse dynamics, and control problems of multi-link flexible manipulators. In deriving the manipulator dynamics, flexible deformations are assumed to be small in relation to the link length, angular rates of the links are assumed to be much smaller than their fundamental frequencies, and nonlinear terms ...

Multi-linked negotiation in multi-agent systems

Proceedings of the first international joint conference on Autonomous agents and multiagent systems part 3 - AAMAS '02, 2002
Multi-linked negotiation describes a situation where one agent needs to negotiate with multiple agents about different issues, and the negotiation over one issue influences the negotiations over other issues. Multi-linked issues will become important for the next generation of more complicated Multi-Agent Systems.

Control of wire driven multi-link robot

Proceedings of the 41st SICE Annual Conference. SICE 2002., 2003
The paper is concerned with the control of a multi-link robot driven by elastic wires. We have designed a servo controller to control the link angles and wire tensions to avoid the wire to loosen. Various simulations and experiments are given to show the effectiveness of the control.
