Multi-machine Power System Robust Excitation Control
AbstractNowadays PID regulator, power system stabilizer (PSS) and nonlinear control were widely used in multi-machine power system excitation control. This paper will use the nonlinear robust control theory to design the excitation controller, in order to realize the decentralized robust control and improve stability of the system.

Decentralized linear quadratic power system stabilizers for multi-machine power systems
Linear quadratic stabilizers are well-known for their superior control capabilities when compared to the conventional lead-lag power system stabilizers. However, they have not seen much of practical importance as the state variables are generally not measurable; especially the generator rotor angle measurement is not available in most of the power ...

Damping Torque Analysis of Power Systems with DFIGs for Wind Power Generation [PDF]
A grid-connected DFIG for wind power generation can affect power system small-signal angular stability in two ways: by changing the system load flow condition and dynamically interacting with synchronous generators (SGs).

Suboptimal Power System Stabilizers for Multi Machine Systems
Abstract Excitation supplementary control is used in power systems to enhance the damping of low frequency oscillations due to the mechanical modes of the generators. Traditionally, frequency deviation is fed back to the exciter through phase lag-lead compensators to form the supplementary control.
