Full‐Field Damage Monitoring in Architected Lattices Using In situ Electrical Impedance Tomography
In situ electrical impedance tomography (EIT) turns 3D‐printed, CNT‐infused architected lattices into full‐field damage‐imaging systems. Tunable Voronoi‐based geometries act as active sensing architectures, enabling conductivity maps to detect early‐stage damage and localise sequential ligament fracture before catastrophic failure.

The mantis shrimp telson reveals how ridged biological shields control deformation under impact. Inspired by this architecture, telson‐inspired ridged curved shells transform ridge geometry and macroscopic curvature into bidirectional snap‐through, tunable stiffness, and enhanced hysteretic energy dissipation for multifunctional architected materials ...

Multi-Modality Imaging in Vasculitis
Systemic vasculitides are a rare and complex group of diseases that can affect multiple organ systems. Clinically, presentation may be vague and non-specific and as such, diagnosis and subsequent management are challenging.

Printed negative‐dielectric‐anisotropy liquid‐crystal droplets enable multidimensional full‐vectorial optical‐field sensing across polarization, phase, and wavelength, while also generating tunable skyrmionic‐like complex optical fields. ABSTRACT Adaptive manipulation of vectorial optical fields is important for optical metrology, imaging, and ...

The development of modality in language acquisition [PDF]
Defined as a general inner-linguistic function, modality pervades language and there can thus be no strictly nonmodal predicative expressions. We shall, however, in what follows, keep to grammatical tradition and exclude declarative and interrogative ...

XTRUDE: A Process‐Informed Framework for High‐Fidelity Analysis of Hydrogel Extrusion
Extrusion performance emerges from the interplay between material properties and processing conditions. XTRUDE (eXTrusion Rheology for Understanding and Defining Extrudability) recreates the extrusion environment with in situ pressure and temperature sensing, enabling characteristic pressure signatures to quantify extrusion‐specific phenomena and ...
