Higher Amyloid and Tau Burden Is Associated With Faster Decline on a Digital Cognitive Test
ABSTRACT Objective A 2‐min digital clock‐drawing test (DCTclock) captures more granular features of the clock‐drawing process than the pencil‐and‐paper clock‐drawing test, revealing more subtle deficits at the preclinical stage of Alzheimer's disease (AD). A previous cross‐sectional study demonstrated that worse DCTclock performance was associated with

Lessons Learned: Quality Analysis of Optical Coherence Tomography in Neuromyelitis Optica
ABSTRACT Introduction Optical coherence tomography (OCT)‐derived retina measurements are markers for neuroaxonal visual pathway status. High‐quality OCT scans are essential for reliable measurements, but their acquisition is particularly challenging in eyes with severe visual impairment, as often observed in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders ...

A corrective direction particle swarm optimization for large-scale multi-objective optimization
In multi-objective optimization, Large-Scale Multi-Objective Optimization Problems (LSMOPs) involve a large number of decision variables and present significant challenges in finding satisfactory results with a limited number of function evaluations.

ABSTRACT Objective Peripheral neuropathies contribute to patient disability but may be diagnosed late or missed altogether due to late referral, limitation of current diagnostic methods and lack of specialized testing facilities. To address this clinical gap, we developed NeuropathAI, an interpretable deep learning–based multiclass classification ...

The multi-uncertainty of source and load poses significant challenges to the optimal scheduling of 'source-load-storage' integrated microgrid. However, a limitation of the traditional optimization model is its one-sidedness and use of a single time scale,

Environment-Adaptable Fast Multi-Resolution (EAF-MR) optimization in large-scale RF-FPGA systems
Software-defined radio (SDR) can have high communication quality with a reconfigurable RF front-end. One of the main challenges of a reconfigurable RF front-end is finding an optimal configuration among all possible configurations.

Optimal control of a multi-scale HIV-opioid model
In this study, we apply optimal control theory to an immuno-epidemiological model of HIV and opioid epidemics. For the multi-scale model, we used four controls: treating the opioid use, reducing HIV risk behaviour among opioid users, entry inhibiting antiviral therapy, and antiviral therapy which blocks the viral production.

ABSTRACT Objective Accurate localization of epileptogenic tubers (ETs) in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is essential but challenging, as these tubers lack distinct pathological or genetic markers to differentiate them from other cortical tubers.
