A Multi-Data Source and Multi-Sensor Approach for the 3D Reconstruction and Web Visualization of a Complex Archaelogical Site: The Case Study of “Tolmo De Minateda”

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2016
The complexity of archaeological sites hinders creation of an integral model using the current Geomatic techniques (i.e., aerial, close-range photogrammetry and terrestrial laser scanner) individually. A multi-sensor approach is therefore proposed as the

Field evaluation of a multi-point fibre optic sensor array for methane detection (“OMEGA”) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A multi-point fibre optic sensor array for methane detection (“OMEGA”) has been developed and tested under semiquantitative field conditions. The new system employed wavelength modulation spectroscopy using a DFB laser source scanned across the Q6 ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Prediction and analysis of relative error in electric vehicle charging stations based on an improved ConvFormer model

open access: yesHeliyon
In order to address the issue of metering inaccuracies in charging stations that directly affect the development of electric vehicles, a prediction method for the relative error of charging stations based on the ConvFormer model is proposed.

Assessment of RISAT-1 and Radarsat-2 for Sea Ice Observations from a Hybrid-Polarity Perspective

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2017
Utilizing several Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) missions will provide a data set with higher temporal resolution. It is of great importance to understand the difference between various available sensors and polarization modes and to consider how to ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

GRU-based multi-scenario gait authentication for smartphones

open access: yes网络与信息安全学报, 2022
At present, most of the gait-based smartphone authentication researches focus on a single controlled scenario without considering the impact of multi-scenario changes on the authentication accuracy. The movement direction of the smartphone and the user ...
