MULTI-SENSOR WIRELESS NETWORK SYSTEM FOR HURRICANE MONITORING
SOFT MEASUREMENTS AND COMPUTING, 2021A wireless sensor system is described. Pressure sensor measurements are compared with National Weather Service data and wind tunnel test data. It then describes a minivan highway test that was used to evaluate the effect of sensor housing shape on pressure measurements.

Multi-sensor data fusion using neural networks
1990 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Conference Proceedings, 2002A general approach to the use of neural networks for data fusion is outlined. The discussion begins with examples of data fusion problems and a pattern recognition example is given to illustrate the concepts involved in data fusion. The differences between using post- and pre-detection signals and the advantages of using the latter are discussed.

Multi-sensor multi-network seamless positioning with visual aiding
2011 International Conference on Localization and GNSS (ICL-GNSS), 2011This paper presents a measurement fusion approach for seamless outdoor/indoor positioning utilizing multiple sensor and network measurements in addition to computer-vision based aiding. A Kalman filter is implemented for fusing WLAN, Bluetooth, and high-sensitivity GPS positioning results with accelerometer based motion information as well as digital ...

Neural network based multi sensor heart sound analysis
[1990] Proceedings Computers in Cardiology, 2002It is demonstrated how neural nets, used for nonlinear modeling and signal classification, can estimate from a continuous recording of an acoustical stethoscope signal the beginning of a cardiac cycle, the systolic and diastolic time intervals and suggest suitable diagnoses in case of heart failures and arrhythmia.

Decorrelators for multi‐sensor systems in CDMA networks
European Transactions on Telecommunications, 1995AbstractIn this paper we consider a multi‐sensor detection problem in both additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and fading channels with the users using the channel based on a code division multiple access (CDMA) scheme. Several multi‐sensor detectors that have been studied previously do offer good performance; however, these detectors require the ...

Multi sensor data fusion within hierarchical neural networks
1990 IJCNN International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, 1990Presents a hierarchical neural network architecture which can achieve multisensor data fusion at feature level by combining the coherent activities of higher-level neurons in the architecture. The architecture learns very quickly and is highly stable and plastic. Initial results show promise.
