Chaos control and chaos synchronization of a multi-wing chaotic system and its application in multi-frequency weak signal detection

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
In this paper, first, a nonlinear feedback controller for achieving chaos control of a novel multi-wing chaotic system is presented. The nonlinear feedback controller has two parts.

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Reliability Assessment of Random Uncertain Multi-State Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The random uncertain multi-state system is defined as a multi-state system consisting of multi-state components whose performance rates and the corresponding state probabilities are presented as uncertain variables. Reliability assessment of random multi-

Scheme for steady-state preparation of a harmonic oscillator in the first excited state

open access: yes, 2014
We present a generic quantum master equation whose dissipative dynamics autonomously stabilizes a harmonic oscillator in the n=1 Fock state. A multi-mode optomechanical system is analyzed and shown to be an example of a physical system obeying this model.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Characteristics of gas-solid micro fluidized beds for thermochemical reaction analysis

open access: yesCarbon Resources Conversion, 2020
Fuel conversion and clean energy reaction systems involve a variety of catalytic and non-catalytic gas-solid thermochemical reactions. A good understanding of the correct reaction mechanism and kinetics, as well as the profiles of reaction products, is ...

Coarse-grained distributions and superstatistics

open access: yes, 2005
We show an interesting connexion between the coarse-grained distribution function arising in the theory of violent relaxation for collisionless stellar systems (Lynden-Bell 1967) and the notion of superstatistics introduced recently by Beck & Cohen (2003)

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Multivariable Adaptive Harmonic Steady-State Control for Rejection of Sinusoidal Disturbances Acting on an Unknown System

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents an adaptive harmonic steady-state (AHSS) controller, which addresses the problem of rejecting sinusoids with known frequencies that act on a completely unknown multi-input multi-output linear time-invariant system.
