The Behaviour Of Multi-storey Composite Steel Framed Structures In Response To Compartment Fires [PDF]
This paper presents a summary of the PhD research project “The behaviour of multistorey composite steel frame structures in response to compartment fires.” The original assumptions, conclusions and suggested further work of the thesis are revisited and newly discussed in the context of structural fire engineering design post 9-11.

AI‐enabled de novo design of a TREM1 binder, integrated into a BBB‐crossing and macrophage‐targeted nanoplatform, enables TREM1 degradation and attenuates neuroinflammation, thereby promoting neuroprotection and tissue repair after traumatic brain injury. ABSTRACT Secondary neuroinflammation drives progressive damage after traumatic brain injury (TBI),

Drug Repurposing for Treating NCOR‐Related Intellectual Disability
An autism‐associated NCOR1 heterozygous mutation upregulates NRGs and activates NRG backward signaling in hypothalamic GABAergic neurons in mouse models, leading to Gabra2 downregulation and cognitive deficits, which can be therapeutically targeted by repurposing FDA‐approved drugs.

RCI is associated with functional suppression of oxytocinergic neurons in the PVN. Reduced PVNOXT neuronal activity contributes to altered sympathetic regulation involving the IML–sympathetic chain pathway, accompanied by changes in norepinephrine signaling at the BTI.

Falls among hospital inpatients are associated with significant morbidity and require comprehensive post‐fall assessment. This retrospective cohort study evaluated documentation completeness following inpatient falls in older adults and compared assessments completed using a structured Falls Proforma with standard documentation methods.

A hybrid mobile robot with a modular Variable‐Stiffness Bridge transitions between a rigid locomotion platform and a flexible, shape‐conforming body. By enclosing objects within its deformable structure rather than relying on dedicated end effectors, the robot achieves orientation‐regulated planar transport, with conformal contact quality shown to ...

DETERMINATION OF PARAMETERS OF AN EXPERIMENTAL MODEL OF A MULTI-STOREY STEEL FRAME
: The load-bearing capacity of the structure can be accurately determined on large models made from the same material (or a material with similar elastic properties) as the actual structure. The scale of the model can be 1/5-1/6. This depends not only on the actual dimensions of the structure but also on the material of the model. Experience shows that

The psychosocial toll of Dublin III on asylum seekers in the Netherlands
Abstract The Dublin III Regulation determines which EU Member State is responsible for examining asylum claims, but its implementation carries significant consequences for those subjected to it. This study examines how Dublin III, as implemented in the Netherlands, affects asylum seekers' psychosocial wellbeing using Silove′s Adaptation and Development

Developments in modelling of composite building structures in fire [PDF]
Some concern has been expressed that the load capacity of corner columns might be reduced in fire due to the expansion of unprotected fire-exposed connected beams, even through the columns themselves are protected from fire.
