On nonsymmetric theorems for coincidence of multi-valued map

Journal of Fixed Point Theory and Applications, 2023
Let \(M\) be a connected manifold of dimension \(m\) and let \(N\) be a connected and closed topological manifold of dimension \(n\). Suppose \(N\) is equipped with a free action of the cyclic group \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) generated by a periodic homeomorphism \(T:N \to N\) of period \(p\), where \(p\) is a prime.

Multi-valued nonlinear contraction mappings

Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2009
Among three fixed point theorems established in the paper there is the following: Let \((X, d)\) be a complete metric space and let \(\varphi: [0,\infty)\to[a, 1)\), \(0< a< 1\), be such that \(\varlimsup_{r\to t+}(r)< 1\) for all \(t\in[0,\infty)\). If \(T: X\to\text{Cl}(X)\) (= all nonempty closed sets of \(X\)) is such that \(x\mapsto d(x,Tx)\) is ...

The Equivalence of Cognitive Map, Fuzzy Cognitive Map and Multi Value Fuzzy Cognitive Map

2006 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2006
Cognitive map (CM), fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) are two related tools for modeling human being's cognition and facilitating machine deduction over the cognitive model accordingly. FCM has extended CM by modeling the strength of the causal relationship.

On probabilities induced by multi-valued mappings

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1991
Abstract We are concerned here with the environment that characterizes the theory of evidence. We show that while the measures of upper and lower probability introduced by Dempster do indeed provide bounds for the induced probability, more restrictive information on the induced probability can be had.

Mapping contingent planning into multi-valued planning

2008 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics, 2008
Contingent planning involves generating plans in uncertainty environment under partial observability. However, traditional contingent planning problems, described by propositional logic, suffer from many problems. For example, the belief state space is too large.

Soft maps, multi-valued retractions, and functors

Russian Mathematical Surveys, 1986
In the paper under review the author gives a good and extensive survey of the new branch of geometrical topology which is related to the theory of retracts, the theory of infinite dimensional manifolds and the theory of covariant functors. The survey is a chronological continuation of two previous surveys of the author [Usp. Mat. Nauk 36, No.3, 177-195

Fuzzy Sets, Multi-valued Mappings, and Rough Sets

2002
It is shown that there is a natural transformation of Dempster's multivalued mapping and Pawlak's rough sets and vice-versa. Furthermore, Dempster's schema is modified and restricted by Turksen in a particular manner to generate interval-valued Type 2 fuzzy sets.

Endpoints of multi-valued cyclic contraction mappings

2018
Endpoint results are presented for multi-valued cyclic contraction mappings on complete metric spaces (X, d). Our results extend previous results given by Nadler (1969), Daffer-Kaneko (1995), Harandi (2010), Moradi and Kojasteh (2012) and Karapinar (2011).
