MLFLHMDA: predicting human microbe-disease association based on multi-view latent feature learning

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
IntroductionA growing body of research indicates that microorganisms play a crucial role in human health. Imbalances in microbial communities are closely linked to human diseases, and identifying potential relationships between microbes and diseases can ...

Real-time multi-view deconvolution [PDF]

open access: yesBioinformatics, 2015
Abstract Summary: In light-sheet microscopy, overall image content and resolution are improved by acquiring and fusing multiple views of the sample from different directions. State-of-the-art multi-view (MV) deconvolution simultaneously fuses and deconvolves the images in 3D, but processing takes a multiple of the acquisition time and ...

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Multi-View Clustering

open access: yes, 2018
With a plethora of data capturing modalities becoming available, the same data object often leaves different kinds of digital footprints. This naturally leads to datasets comprising the same set of data objects represented in different forms, called multi-view data.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Research of personalized recommendation system based on deep neural network

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2019
The deep neural network is similar to the biological neural network, so it has the ability of high efficiency and accurate extraction of the deep hidden features of information, can learn multiple layers of abstract features, and can learn more about ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Automatic Pose Estimation of Uncalibrated Multi-View Images Based on a Planar Object with a Predefined Contour Model

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2016
We have presented a framework to obtain camera pose (i.e., position and orientation in the 3D space) with real scale information of the uncalibrated multi-view images and the intrinsic camera parameters automatically.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
