Multi(Six)-port impulse radio for ultra-wideband

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2006
Multi(six)-port impulse radio (MIR) validates the full channel (3-4 GHz) novel quaternary phase spectrum modulation (QPSM) scheme using a six-port modulator and demodulator circuits. Due to the lack of a monocycle generator, a 1-GHz spectral phase channel is generated from a rectangular pulse signal, upconverted using filters, mixer, and a local ...

IMPULSE

Proceedings of the 2011 ACM Symposium on Applied Computing, 2011
The purpose of this study is to reduce the difficulties encountered when designing multi-agent systems (MAS). Although MAS are one of the more effective approaches for dealing with the recent increase in software complexity, they are themselves difficult to develop.

Gender issues in the management of multi‐impulsive bulimia: A case‐study

International Journal of Eating Disorders, 1998
We describe the management of multi-impulsive bulimia nervosa in a 27-year-old man. Inpatient treatment was attempted using a standardized focal-interpretative (psychodynamic) and cognitive-behavioral approach, with an emphasis on ward milieu. The value of this approach has been proved for female patients in the past.

Impulsive Consensus Seeking in Delayed Networks of Multi-agents

2010
This present paper addresses impulsive consensus problem in directed networks of dynamic agents having communication delays Based on impulsive control theory on delayed dynamical systems, a simple impulsive consensus protocol for such networks is proposed, and a generic criterion for solving average consensus problem is analytically derived It is shown

Optimal Multi-Objective Linearized Impulsive Rendezvous

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2007
The multi-objective optimization of linearized impulsive rendezvous is investigated in this paper and this optimization includes the minimum characteristic velocity, the minimum time of flight, and the maximum safety performance index, of which the trajectory safety performance index is defined as the minimum relative distance between a chaser and a ...

Impulse response estimation of massive multi-input systems

IFAC Journal of Systems and Control, 2018
Abstract Impulse response estimation of massive multi-input systems requires the development of new approaches due to constraints imposed by conventional methods. Two key challenges which need to be addressed are, firstly, the requirement on the perturbation signal period and secondly, the processing time. A novel identification technique is proposed

Identification of impulse responses of multi-input systems

2017 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Automatic Control and Intelligent Systems (I2CACIS), 2017
This paper considers the identification of impulse responses of systems with multiple inputs. An existing technique utilizing signal sets which are correlated with one another is modified to improve its convergence properties. A detailed example is presented to compare the performance between identification using a set of correlated signals and ...

Taxometric Investigation of Multi-Impulsive Bulimia

2007
Previous researchers have proposed that Multi-impulsive Bulimia (MIB), a constellation of self-destructive impulsive behaviours including theft, self-harm, suicide attempts, sexual disinhibition, and substance use, may be a distinct sub-type of Bulimia Nervosa (BN).

Impulsive Consensus of the Leader-Following Multi-agent Systems

2011
This paper is mainly concerned with the consensus problem of the leader-following multi-agent system. In terms of the impulsive communication from the leader, a consensus protocol which can well describe practical architectures of more realistic systems is proposed. And some simple but not conservative criterions for the consensus are derived. Finally,
