Multiband shorted monopole antenna
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2014A new type of multiband shark-fin antenna printed on 1.6 mm thick FR4 for automotive applications is presented. The antenna is mounted over a 1 m × 1 m-metal ground plane which represents a car’s roof. The overall size of the antenna is 57 mm × 40 mm × 1.6 mm which is λ/6.5 × λ/9 × λ/231.5 at the lowest frequency of operation of 0.810 GHz.

We developed a version of the multiband antenna. The frequency dependence of input impedance and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) are determined. The eighteen versions of antennas with different widths of the exciting slots and different values of similarity are investigated. Antenna is studied experimentally with the given specifications.

Novel Multiband Millimeter Wave Antennas
Journal of Communications, 2023The design of multiband antennas is useful for providing multiple resonance frequencies required for multiple application scenarios. However, there is a scarcity of compact-sized antennas in the 70-110 GHz band. In this regard, this paper proposes two multiband millimeter wave antennas in the W and D bands.

A reduced height automotive antenna covering the three mobile telephone bands used around the world is described. The antenna is much more compact than a conventional monopole and is printed on a PCB for low-cost production. Circuit components are used to tune the antenna to cover the regional band variations for mobile telephone systems, enabling one ...

Consideration is given to the Multimode Multiband Antenna program, a joint Army/Air Force/Navy program to build an antenna system for the 'Speakeasy' Multimode Multiband Digital Radio. The requirements are for a multiplatform, extremely wideband antenna system that is capable of supporting simultaneous operation of up to four different waveforms.

A novel multiband antenna: fractal antenna
International Conference on Communication Technology Proceedings, 2003. ICCT 2003., 2004Fractal-shaped antennas have already been proved to have some unique characteristics that are linked to the geometrical properties of the fractals. The purpose of this article is to introduce the concept of the fractal, review the progress in fractal antenna study and implementation, compare different types of fractal antenna elements and arrays and ...

Multiband planar antenna for wireless LAN
2015 IEEE 4th Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE), 2015A new multiband planar antenna for wireless LAN is proposed and examined, compared with the conventional antenna, FML2.4W. From the results, the maximum values of the absolute gain for the proposed antenna are equal to or higher than those for FML2.4W in two frequency bands, from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz, from 5.2GHz to 5.8GHz.
