Advanced Terahertz Sensing of Liquid Petrochemicals: Pentagonal‐Core Photonic Crystal Fiber Design and Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
A hybrid‐structured pentagonal‐core photonic crystal fiber sensor operating in the terahertz regime is proposed for fuel adulteration detection. Numerical analysis using the finite element method in COMSOL shows optimal performance at 2 THz, achieving high relative sensitivity (up to 98.20%) with ultralow confinement loss (~10−¹³ dB/m). The design also

A Printed Wide‐Slot Antenna With Modified Tuning Stub and Parasitic Elements for Glucose Sensing Applications

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
A compact printed wide‐slot antenna with a diamond‐shaped tuning stub and parasitic elements achieves an ultrawide impedance bandwidth of 256% (2.4–16.2 GHz). Its capacitive nature enables frequency shifts with dielectric variations, making it highly suitable for accurate, non‐invasive glucose sensing applications.

Multiband evanescent waveguide antenna [PDF]

open access: yesMicrowave and Optical Technology Letters, 2015
A dual/triband evanescent waveguide antenna element is presented. The antenna operates in the 740–790, 1.9–2.2, and 2.5–2.7 GHz frequency bands. It measures 55 × 27.5 × 53 mm3 and occupies a small volume making it attractive for miniaturized applications. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Assessing Measurement Repeatability of a Novel Anisotropic Phantom for Advanced Diffusion MRI Models

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 339-348, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Diffusion MRI is widely used to characterize tissue microstructure, but standardization remains challenging, particularly for advanced models or regions with crossing fibers. Phantoms provide controlled environments to assess measurement repeatability independent of biological variability.
