A Unified Analysis of Diversity Exploitation in Multicarrier CDMA

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2007
Since the introduction of multicarrier code-division multiple access (MC-CDMA), several publications have presented various detection concepts for efficient and robust multiuser communications in the up- and downlink. System concepts, which either exploit channel knowledge at the transmitter or at the receiver, have been investigated.

Channel estimation for multicarrier CDMA

2000 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37100), 2002
Multicarrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) is a flexible and adaptable radio interface to provide dynamically changing bit rates and a variety of services on radio channels. An accurate channel estimate allows the use of multiuser detection and power loading to improve system performance. A blind linear multiuser channel estimator for MC-CDMA is proposed.

Windowing for multicarrier CDMA systems

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2009
The windows for achieving good multiple-access performance of multicarrier code-division multiple-access (MCCDMA) systems employing minimum mean-squared error receivers are studied. The mean-squared error (MSE) is used as the performance metric for the optimization.

Spectral Efficiency of Multicarrier CDMA

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2005
We analyze the spectral efficiency (sum-rate per subcarrier) of randomly spread synchronous multicarrier code-division multiple access (MC-CDMA) subject to frequency-selective fading in the asymptotic regime of number of users and bandwidth going to infinity with a constant ratio.

A joint-optimization of multicarrier CDMA system

14th IEEE Proceedings on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2003. PIMRC 2003., 2004
A novel joint-optimization idea for uplink multicarrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) system is presented in this paper. This idea can greatly mitigate the multiple-access interference (MAI) and improve the system performance. Compared to traditional MC-CDMA systems the optimum system has much better bit error rate performance but also large feedback cost.

Hierarchical wideband multicarrier CDMA systems

IEEE 54th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC Fall 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37211), 2002
Hierarchical wideband multicarrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) systems are studied. A MC-CDMA system divides the system bandwidth into several equal narrow subbands that are used to transmit multiple signal waveforms in parallel. MC-CDMA systems are known to be robust to multipath fading and narrowband interference.

Multicarrier FH codes for multicarrier FH-CDMA wireless systems

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2000
A multicarrier (multihopping) scheme for multilevel frequency-shift keying/frequency-hopping code-division multiple access (MFSK/FH-CDMA) systems is proposed. In order to improve the frequency diversity capability for the proposed multicarrier MFSK/FH-CDMA system, several hopping frequencies per time slot are employed and transmitted in parallel.

Subspace MMSE receiver for multicarrier CDMA

WCNC. 1999 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (Cat. No.99TH8466), 2003
We consider subspace-based MMSE multiuser detection for multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) in Rayleigh fading channels. The knowledge of the fading coefficients for all the carriers and the timing delay of the desired user is needed to construct the MMSE detector.

MMSE detection of multi-carrier CDMA

MILCOM 1999. IEEE Military Communications. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36341), 2000
Minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) detection of multi-carrier code-division multiple-access (CDMA) signals is investigated in this paper. The performance of two different design strategies for MMSE detection is compared. In one case, the MMSE filters are designed separately for each carrier while in the other case the optimization of the filters is done

Proceedings of the 2008 International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology - ICAIT '08, 2008
A new multicarrier CDMA system is proposed and its complete immunity to multiuser interference in the presence of unknown multipath fading channel is shown analytically.
