Multicarrier Access and Routing for Wireless Networking
A multicarrier access and routing system has been proposed for use in wireless networks. Users within each cell access a radio port (RP). All RPs are connected to a radio exchange node (REN) which routes the calls or packets.

Large Families of Ternary Sequences with Aperiodic Zero Correlation Zone Sequences for a Multi-Carrier DS-CDMA System [PDF]
A new method for generating families of ternary spreading sequences is presented. The sequences have aperiodic zero correlation zones and large families are created for a specific sequence length.

CDMA Transmission with Complex OFDM/OQAM
We propose an alternative to the well-known multicarrier code-division multiple access (MC-CDMA) technique for downlink transmission by replacing the conventional cyclic-prefix orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation by an advanced ...

On multicarrier signals where the PMEPR of a random codeword is asymptotically log n [PDF]
Multicarrier signals exhibit a large peak-to-mean envelope power ratio (PMEPR). In this correspondence, without using a Gaussian assumption, we derive lower and upper probability bounds for the PMEPR distribution when the number of subcarriers n is large.

Energy-Efficient Resource Allocation in Wireless Networks: An Overview of Game-Theoretic Approaches
An overview of game-theoretic approaches to energy-efficient resource allocation in wireless networks is presented. Focusing on multiple-access networks, it is demonstrated that game theory can be used as an effective tool to study resource allocation in

Effects of carrier frequency accuracy on quasi-synchronous, multicarrier DS-CDMA communications using optimized sequences [PDF]
It is known that the multiple access interference (MAI) of a quasi-synchronous (QS) multicarrier direct signal code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system can be substantially reduced by using signature sequences having optimized cross correlation at ...

Adaptive Algorithms Versus Higher Order Cumulants for Identification and Equalization of MC-CDMA
In this paper, a comparative study between a blind algorithm, based on higher order cumulants, and adaptive algorithms, i.e. Recursive Least Squares (RLS) and Least Mean Squares (LMS) for MultiCarrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) systems ...

Comparison of equalisation strategies for multi-carrier CDMA [PDF]
This paper focuses on the bit error rate (BER) performance of equalisation strategies for a downlink MC-CDMA based system. Simulation results utilising maximal ratio combining (MRC), orthogonal restoring combining (ORC), equal gain combining (EGC) and ...
